Wild PR has once again been appointed as the social media partner for Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival, an event which more than 100,000 people to Huddersfield town centre every August.

Huddersfield Live, a not-for-profit events organisation, first appointed Wild PR in 2017 to manage the content development, scheduling and audience engagement across a variety of social media channels for its annual Huddersfield Food & Drink Festival. Last year, we also supported Huddersfield Live with PR support for its Winter Festival, which was recently named ‘Community Event of the Year’ at the Examiner Community Awards 2019.

During the 2018 event, we saw engagement across social media posts increase by 1,119% compared with the same period of 2017, with follower count increasing from 13,934 to 14,457. Impressions across all content have increased 44% year on year since Wild PR have been in post, with mentions increasing by a whopping 33% year on year.

Alongside content creation and publication, our role as social media partner includes responding to hundreds of enquiries on behalf of the Huddersfield Live team, ensuring accurate information is delivered to the public in a timely manner to ensure they get the most out of the event.

Sam Watt, Director of Huddersfield Live, said: “Huddersfield Live has been working with Wild PR for three years now on various activities to help boost our profile across the community, namely the Food and Drink Festival which has enjoyed continued success.

“The Wild team are more than just our social media partner – they are part of the family and continually add real value to our community events and align with our values. It is important that we work with businesses that share our vision and strive to promote our town and area in a positive and enlightening manner.

“We always look forward to work commencing with the Wild team in the lead up to our events, they are always professional with a smile and friendly approach which makes for a fabulous working relationship.”

Wild PR is currently active in role and is on hand to answer any queries festival-goers may have in the lead up to the festival, which takes place from Thursday 1st August – Sunday 4th August this year.

We will also be in attendance at the festival capturing live footage and creating video soundbites to increase engagement and attendance, so if you’re there make sure to flag one of our team down and share your thoughts.

Most importantly, don’t forget to tag your experiences using the hashtag #HFDF19.
