Here at Wild PR, we work on creating stand-out PR campaigns and innovative marketing agendas for our clients to support their growth and help them achieve their business goals.

Every month, we look back at some of our most outstanding results for our clients. From digital PR campaigns to social media results and content creation, we’ve revealed our most show-stopping results from September:

Digital PR

Behind every one of our client’s digital PR campaigns, the goal is to improve their online presence, website authority and keyword rankings. When designing our PR strategies, we focus on campaigns which enable us to target our clients’ target consumers, build authoritative backlinks and encourage brand mentions, and it’s safe to say we smashed this for all of our clients in September!

Sit back, relax and take a look at some of our favourite results from last month:

Fertility Matters at Work

Following the first reading of the ‘Fertility Treatment: Employment Rights’ bill in June, Fertility Matters wanted to call York residents to action and support the city’s MP in protecting the rights of those undergoing fertility treatment.

Our team put together a press release highlighting the proposed support and pitched it to regional and national publications to bring more awareness to the campaign. Overall, the team secured 10 pieces of coverage and built four new links to the website so far. Coverage highlights include HR News, York Press, Yahoo! as well as print coverage in Shield Gazette and Sunderland Echo.

BPI Auctions

Did you know that search interest for ‘tools stolen’ has increased by 117% since January 2020? The rise in the cost of living and trade has already put businesses under immense pressure, and having equipment stolen could be disastrous for a small business.

With this in mind, we ran a campaign for online auction specialist BPI Auctions using FOI data to determine which areas of the UK are most prone to tool thefts. Shockingly, South, West and North Yorkshire all made the top ten! So far, the campaign has achieved four pieces of coverage, including Building Design and Construction and Business Leader, and we will continue to outreach this campaign into October.

Dragonfly Products

Dog food retailer, Dragonfly Products ran a competition to find the Sleepiest Dog, and Ringo the Cockapoo was crowned the worthy winner! Not only did the campaign generate lots of adorable content to be used across the website and social media, but it also helped to boost Dragonfly’s brand awareness across its target audience.

The campaign has secured nine pieces of fantastic coverage so far, including three wishlist publications, such as Mirror Online and printed coverage within the Daily Star.

Envirovue

Do you know your recyclable items as well as you think? Sustainable waste management specialist, Envirovue can help you find out!

We delved into five of the most common items which are mistakenly thrown in the general recycling bin, even though they shouldn’t. So far, the campaign has secured two pieces of coverage including Business Chesire and Recycling Monster

The campaign follows a 94% increase in interest for ‘recyclable waste’ over the last 12 months and a whopping 525,000 tonnes of household recycling being rejected due to contamination. The team will be continuing outreaching in line with National Recycle Week starting 17th October.

Social media

Social channels are still leading the way for customers to understand how trustworthy brands are. A consistent social media strategy and unique tone of voice can support the development of customer relationships and help to increase sales. So what results did we see on social media for our clients in September:

Specialist Glass Products (SGP)

Recent PR coverage for SGP has led to numerous television appearances on the likes of Channel 4’s Grand Designs and BBC Breakfast. These appearances have been incorporated into social media posts and create engaging reactive content.

From this content, SGP’s Twitter profile visits have increased by 107%, and their LinkedIn page saw 61 new LinkedIn followers during September alone. Moreover, Instagram reach increased by 132% and Facebook engagement increased by 1097%!

Propel

Software development experts, Propel, saw fantastic social media improvements last month.

As a result of sharing industry news, promoting on-site advice-led content and pushing business updates, Propel’s social profiles have seen significant boosts since we commenced work in June. LinkedIn in particular has seen a positive expansion with an increased reach of 12.46% and a 105.29% rise in profile visits. The social content also led to big improvements in referring traffic to the website, with social media referrals from LinkedIn increasing by 31% and referrals from Twitter increasing b 200%.

Heald

Security Manufacturer Heald saw some tremendous social results throughout September. The brand’s attendance at this year’s International Security Expo was a key highlight, therefore we focused the social media strategy and content to reflect this and support its awareness at the event. Heald’s LinkedIn profile saw the most results, with a 159% increase in engagements and a 236% increase in profile visits. Instagram also saw improvements, with a 27% increase in engagement and a 75% increase in reach.

Wild updates

As well as sharing our client’s expertise with the world, we’ve been sharing our knowledge of the PR and Marketing industry this month.

With Google Analytics 4 (GA4) replacing Universal Analytics on July 1st 2023, businesses have been encouraged to educate themselves about the differences and familiarise themselves with the new platform before the change. To help, our campaign assistant, Lydia Fearnley shared a blog informing businesses why they need to make the switch ASAP!

A PR Crisis is easy to spot as a spectator, but how do you combat one if your business is in the firing line? Our PR executive, Brianna Allsopp, shared knowledge on how a business can determine the scale of a crisis compared to a minor issue and the typical four stages involved in a crisis.
