Caravan owners looking to increase their rental revenue should consider investing in a hot tub, new research by online booking platform UKcaravans4hire.com has revealed.
Ahead of the summer peak, which will see half of Brits favouring a staycation over an oversees trip¹, UKcaravans4hire.com has delved into the most-searched-for facilities² that can help owners ensure they are maximising their bookings across the season.
Unsurprisingly, caravans with hot tubs were the most searched-for facility, indicating holidayers are looking for a more luxurious experience for their 2023 staycation. The research found that, on average, caravans with hot tubs charge 46% more than those without², making it a solid investment for caravan owners wanting to increase their revenue.
A low-cost way to increase bookings would be to highlight your holiday home as ‘pet friendly’, as this was the second largest facility that users are searching for on the caravan booking platform. Just last month, there were 3,600 searches for pet friendly holidays on Google³.
Verandas completed the top three most-searched-for facilities, with an indoor pool also ranking high on the list.
