If you read our blog or follow Wild PR on social media you will know how supportive we are of the local business community. We believe that there is great potential for Huddersfield as a hub for business growth and economic activity, and to help drive this we want to gift 12 months’ marketing and PR support to a Huddersfield start-up business.
The marketing package, worth up to £15,000, will help a start-up business develop a 12-month marketing strategy encompassing PR and social media along with a range of other marketing activities and assist in implementing it. The successful applicant will also benefit from access to desk space within our offices and use of our meeting room, plus the opportunity to access our 3M BIC membership to utilise the hotdesking facility at the facility.
Natasha McCreesh from PiP to Grow Strong has offered, in conjunction with our amazing package, 12-month’s pro bono business mentoring and coaching package worth £5,000. Natasha has helped many businesses, including Wild PR, to develop their ways of working and their team for sustainable growth.
Business recovery and advice consultancy Poppleton and Appleby are also providing a business risk analysis with a feedback session and two quarterly review meetings worth £1,500 in value free of charge within the competition package.
Ridley and Hall Solicitors have also offered their legal services, including an initial session and then follow up support over the phone, worth up to £1,500 depending on services required.
Eligible businesses must have been in business for less than three years and have a turnover of less than £250,000 per year. The business must also have clearly outlined business goals with a clear business plan. We will only be accepting applications from businesses with an HD postcode.
We are looking to provide this opportunity as we find there is not a lot of assistance and support for start-ups in Huddersfield compared to their counterparts in Leeds and Manchester. With over 1800 new businesses registered in Kirklees in 2017, we believe that businesses that start in Huddersfield should have the opportunity to remain in Huddersfield. We hope that through providing this support we can give back to the town that has helped us grow over the last few years.
