Christmas might be fast approaching, but we certainly haven’t let the festivities distract us from securing some great client results here at Wild PR! From linking Tier A coverage to achieving international pick-up, we have seen phenomenal PR results across various campaigns. Find out more about what we have been up to and the tactics behind our work below!

Digital PR

We base all of our clients’ marketing strategies around digital PR campaigns, often having a campaign that runs for several months to maximise the impact. Our ultimate goal is to achieve brand mentions and backlinks in high-quality and high-relevancy digital publications.

The Kid Collective

In the run-up to Christmas, our team worked successfully alongside influencers and blog writers to promote The Kid Collective’s gift range. We featured in six gift guides, including Rachel Nicole, Miles Kelly and Even Angels Fall, reaching a niche community of parents with the hope of increasing sales and website visits.

With the search term ‘diversity dolls’ receiving 260 Google searches monthly, we also promoted the companies’ ethos of creating toys to represent all children. This activity created linking coverage in Right Start Online, a publication for parents that matches The Kid Collective’s target audience.

The Kid Collective also provided commentary for a Mail Online article explaining Laura Davies’ four-step gift-buying guide, making the festive season easier for those with demanding children!

To top things off, we also gained national print coverage in The Mirror to promote applications for our adorable UK’s Most Loved Cuddly Toy campaign in its ‘Things To Do This Week’ section! Keep your eyes peeled to see the results!

Heald

Did you know that West Yorkshire is the worst offending area for speeding? Following on from a previous Freedom of Information request Head Ltd was able to repurpose these insights in line with Road Safety Week, which took place between the 14th to the 20th of November, to repitch Heald’s Speeding Capitals release that was published earlier in the year. Revealing the top 10 worst offending areas for speeding tickets, Heald gained five pieces of extra coverage in November, including Yahoo News and Oxford Mail

The Yorkshire security manufacturer also became a new sponsor for Hull City Ladies FC for 2022-3. While this would be classed as a “traditional PR” activity, it gained eight critical regional and business coverage pieces. Local coverage highlights include Yorkshire Times and linking coverage from Made in Yorkshire

In total, we gained 13 brand mentions and five backlinks through these two campaigns, strengthening Heald’s online presence.

BPI Auctions

We have seen a flurry of coverage for BPI Auctions in November across various exciting campaigns we are currently working on; 18 pieces to be exact!

The online auction specialist has shared expert advice on the top ten business assets to sell based on their value to help businesses raise money during the cost-of-trading crisis. The piece gained three pieces of coverage, including Topic UK, which targets their key target audience of business owners looking for easy ways to increase cash flow.

Shockingly, less than 10% of business owners have plans to manage cash flow during the recession! BPI revealed this in their guide on how to recession-proof businesses in 2023 to help business leaders make informed decisions to increase cash flow before insolvency becomes the only option.

This informative release was featured in 10 publications, including coverage in Business Leader and linking coverage in Business Money. The research was also used in two different articles, for Employment Law News Roundup and RMS Recruitment, proving the value and authority of BPI’s content.

And finally, BPI also advised on how to dispose of machinery sustainably, gaining four pieces of coverage in key business and industry publications, including linking coverage in Building Talk

Propel

Wakefield-based software development specialist, Propel, revealed that out-of-date technology can waste up to 40% of our time at work. This alarming statistic explains precisely why companies like Propel can improve productivity and save money. This campaign gained six pieces of coverage in November, including in Manufacturing and Logistics IT and one of their wishlist publications Business Leader!

We also created a thought-leadership piece exploring how technology can promote sustainability, which was featured in three publications, including Top Business Tech. The team also continued to promote Propel’s trio of new hires, gaining two new pieces of coverage in SME Business News and UK News Group

Lastly, Propel also saw linking coverage in UK News Group after explaining the importance of cloud computing for evolving your business, a key piece of evergreen content that we can return to.

Content Creation

Keeping your on-site content up to date is a key ranking factor for search engines. To help improve keyword rankings, we create high-quality, optimised content which aims to answer the questions our clients’ customers have.

Through keyword research and social listening, we can create on-site content that drives relevant users to the website and positions our client as a knowledgeable, trustworthy source of information.

BPI Auctions

With football fever sweeping the nation, we created on-site on behalf of BPI Auctions around the popularity of different teams to complement the World Cup digital PR campaign we outreached. It was revealed that Argentina fans spend the most on football memorabilia. Since uploading the blog in early November, the average session duration on BPI’s blog has increased by 2.63%, while the bounce rate has dropped by -3.19%.

We have also seen new keyword rankings relating to sporting memorabilia in the same month, such as ‘sporting memorabilia auction’ (position 55) and ‘sell sport memorabilia’ (position 78), and expect to see further improvements. The blog brought 11 entrances to BPI’s website and 16 page views in November.

Propel

To complement Propel’s PR campaign, we created keyword optimised blog rounding up the top ten tech challenges businesses face daily. In November alone, the blog generated 35 entrances, resulting in 92 page views and pulling potential new users to the website.

Users spent an average of over three minutes reading the content in November, showing that the content is both engaging and informative. We expect to see keyword improvements around technology challenges and support!

Social Media

Our social media activity for clients runs alongside our digital PR efforts, helping to raise brand awareness and engagement online. Raising our client’s profile on social media helps reach new customers and drive traffic to the website, aiming to increase leads and conversions.

Specialist Glass Products

Focusing on sharing imagery of Specialist Glass Products’ state-of-the-art machinery and creating snippets of information to lead users to the blog page, we have seen significant improvements across social media for November.

For Instagram, in particular, we saw a 161% increase in engagement and a 48% increase in profile visits! We have also seen a 44% increase in reach and are continuing to grow our following (+5).

On LinkedIn, we work hard to engage with the other businesses that come into contact with SGP glass, for example, sharing glass projects from joiners and construction companies. We were pleased to see 32 new followers on the platform, proving the importance of community engagement.

Fertility Matters at Work

Fertility Matters At Work is a CIC dedicated to raising awareness of the need for employer support with fertility and pregnancy issues. On social media, we focus on curating a mix of advice-led content, legislation updates and the community work FMAW is currently carrying out.

In November, we saw an increase in brand awareness across all platforms, with followers growing on Instagram (+147), LinkedIn (+113) and Twitter (+23). We also saw an increase in reach (+103%) and engagement (+32%) on LinkedIn, while Instagram had a notable 18% increase in profile visits.

Overall we have seen a fantastic 125% increase in social traffic in November, and the platforms are bringing more and more users to the website each month.

Wild Updates

We love keeping our blog updated with the latest news from our fantastic team! Here is what we have been up to!

Kicking things off with a new client win, we announced our appointment by new-born Edinburgh spirits brand Stravaig at the start of November! We will be providing Digital PR support for the launch of the new brand, raising awareness and online visibility in the hopes of increasing sales. (We hope we get some tasters soon!)

We were blessed to meet our Digital PR Director, Frankie’s new baby boy, Bowie! It was fantastic to see both Bowie and Frankie doing well. We also had a Wild birthday in the office, celebrating our brilliant Junior Account Manager, Mollie’s, 25th birthday!

Katrina, our MD, dedicated her time to volunteering with the media team at the UK’s first-ever ISU Grand Prix in Sheffield! Utilising her professional skillset for a sport close to her heart, Katrina handled British Ice Skating’s social media throughout the event, boosting engagement and raising awareness of the sport within the country.

Our Social media and PR Executive, Ella, delved into the world of User-Generated Content for our blog, explaining how brands can use UGC to build a community, encourage greater trust and humanise their content. Meanwhile, our PR Executive, Brianna, created an advice-led campaign for Wild PR all about how PR can support manufacturing businesses, using our client SGP as a great example of this.

The Wild office was made Christmassy by our MD’s super-talented daughter, Stevie, who hand-painted our window with a doodle Christmas tree design. The gorgeous window design helped to kick off our festive spirit and get us in the mood for our Christmas celebrations!
