Client: Propel Tech

Client overview:

From bespoke software development and digital transformation to cloud consultancy and system integration, Propel Tech solve problems across existing and new technology. The team works collaboratively to identify problems, help map journeys, support with expertise and find the solutions for businesses to move forward.

The brief:

From out-of-date devices and historical platforms that no longer serve a purpose to processes that are not aligned across a business, we wanted to delve into the main challenges business owners and employees face when it comes to internal systems and software.

The PR campaign aimed to target businesses in target sectors (manufacturing, construction and logistics) facing technology challenges, and those who didn’t realise they needed digital transformation.

To achieve this, we ran a survey asking UK office workers what challenges they faced when it came to IT/technology, how much time was spent daily on said challenges and when they last worked on new software at work.

This insight allowed us to find out what challenges each industry faced the most as well as the average time lost in a business due to IT issues,  historical or not fit-for-purpose tech systems.

From this data, we drafted a press release which was outreached to general IT and business publications as well as a release per target sector audience. We also drafted blog content which was optimised to support keyword positioning and SEO and supporting social media content to encourage more traffic to the website.

Key stats:

– 13 pieces of coverage

– Eight follow links built to the site

– 179,755 PR reach

– Five new related keyword positions

The results:

Overall, the PR campaign secured several pieces of coverage in business, regional and industry news publications, including Business Leader, International Construction and Manufacturing & Logsitics IT. The coverage also built six new links to Propel’s website, all of which were follow links supporting the site’s SEO and keyword rankings.

The new backlinks and SEO-optimised on-site content resulted in new keyword positionings, including “it challenges in business”, “top 10 it challenges” and “challenges facing technology”.  with a 72% increase in ranking keywords between August 2022 and August 2021.
