Our founder and Managing Director, Katrina Cliffe, has signed up for her next set of challenges in support of Tommy’s, the baby charity.

Over the last few months, Katrina has ramped up her training regime after signing up for some honourable challenges including Lindley 10k, Leeds 10k and GoTri. This year, however, Katrina is stepping up her running distances with the addition of the Leeds Half Marathon and the Yorkshire Marathon, which take place in October.

Tommy’s is a charity very close to Katrina’s heart, having experienced the devastating loss of her first baby 20 weeks into pregnancy in 2004. Over the past 15 years, Katrina and her family have raised more than £10,000 through a variety of activities including runs, charity events and even driving around Europe in a banger with ScumRun.

Katrina said: “It would appear that Casey’s legacy has been to both keep me motivated and try to make a difference. To achieve that, once again I’ll be lacing up my trainers to take on a variety of running challenges.

“After success at the Yorkshire 10 mile, my longest race to date, I thought why not step it up a little further. I must admit, the distance is a little daunting but with some consistent training and a never quit attitude I’m sure I’ll achieve these and be quite surprised with my results in the process.”

Tommy’s fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. Their aim is to give every parent the best pregnancy outcomes.

Katrina’s dedication has been rather inspiring for the Wild PR team, with talks in the office of taking on a challenge for charity as a team later on in the year.
