Campaign overview/brief

The key objectives for our PR activity included achieving high-quality links from a dedicated wishlist of media publications, particularly within industrial sectors, to raise awareness of Fishtank’s skills to key decision-makers and business owners.

Focusing on the business and industry press, we developed a thought leadership digital PR campaign which honed in on the internal expertise of the Fishtank team. 

With a 1400% increase in interest for the search term ‘business cost savings’ between March to June 2022, we created a guide to five key ways businesses can save costs online. We then adapted this for each industry to tap into sector-specific publications, for example, manufacturing and engineering, and began outreach in July.

The results: 

From this campaign, we generated 17 pieces of digital PR coverage in business and industry publications, with highlights including:

The average Domain Authority (DA) was 35, and the range of high-authority brand mentions and links positively impacted Fishtank’s website, with a 13.95% increase in page views and a 9.53% increase in sessions compared to the month before the campaign was launched. Evidently, the PR content and on-site blog drove more traffic to the site and were more visible in potential customers’ online search results. 

We also saw an improvement in audience engagement, with a 129.73% increase in average session duration and a 20.17% improvement in exit rate. There was also a higher percentage of returning users, compared to new users, in July, which suggests that more users are converting down the sales funnel and discovering more about Fishtank’s products and services.
