Set to be one of the most exciting fundraising events of the year, The Town Foundation’s ‘It’s a knockout!’ will take place on the 13th of May at John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield.
The popular game show, which first hit television screens in the 60’s will be brought to life this Summer as local businesses battle it out to raise money for the worthy cause.
Sheard’s Accountancy is competing in the event, with the help of Wild PR, in support of The Town Foundation who for a second year running were chosen as their charity of the year.
The full Sheard’s Accountancy team consists of directors, Carolyn Atkinson and Kevin Winterburn, Kevin Sanders, Amy Walker, Matt Schofield, Joel Harrison, Chris Barwick and Wild PRs’ Katrina Cliffe and Jennifer Ogden.
Teams on the day are expected to raise a minimum of £1000 for the event in order to support the work the Town Foundation conduct.
The Town Foundation, which was launched in July 2012 by Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle, and helps to improve the quality of life for young people across Huddersfield and the wider West Yorkshire area.
Through their “Early Kick-Off” Breakfast Clubs, The Town Foundation provide over 5000 free breakfasts per week to local school children in 18 schools, many of whom may not have eaten a healthy hot meal since lunchtime the day before.
