Where have the past 12 months gone? It really has been a case of blink and you’ll miss it!
2019 saw us kick off the year full steam ahead with developing communication strategies for two new clients.

Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network appointed us in advance of the launch of Propel, their health tech accelerator programme and we were drafted in to deliver a fully integrated comms strategy for ideas for placemaking and tenant engagement for The Round Foundry & Marshalls Mill in Leeds following our appointment by Workman LLP.

Fast forward 12 months and we’ve expanded our footprint in the manufacturing, construction and education sectors by welcoming clients such as Specialist Glass Products, Yorkshire Brickwork Contractors and Coppice Valley Primary School (part of the Red Kite Learning Trust) onboard to support them in engaging with their target audiences.

We’ve continued to work with a number of longstanding clients including Sheards, Heald, Poppleton & Appleby Northern to help them achieve their aspirations this year and we look forward to that continuing in 2020.
It’s been a great year of results for both Wild and our clients and in particular, we’re exceptionally proud of helping Manor House Lindley to be shortlisted in The Sunday Times, Top 100 Places to Stay in the North and gaining an award win at the Welcome to Yorkshire awards thanks for some fantastic work by our Account Manager, Kirstie Wilson! Once again we secured some fantastic media coverage for clients, including Poppleton & Appleby featured in the Daily and Sunday Telegraph, adding to their repertoire of national coverage.

Our personal efforts in making a difference to our employees and the local community were also rewarded with a Workplace Wellbeing Award from the British Chambers of Commerce and a Raising the Bar Award for our work on developing the Huddersfield economy through the delivery of Huddersfield’s very first Huddersfield Business Week and a start-up package we gifted alongside a number of associates to community interest company, Yorkshire Sound Women Network.

It’s been a year of staff development too. Once again, we’ve heavily invested in the personal and professional development of our team thanks to the ongoing support of our business coach, Natasha McCreesh. As a result, Laura was promoted to Client Services Director and we welcomed new recruits, Hollie and Lana, to help support Wild with a growing client portfolio.

We’ve also undertaken a number of other activities including delivering a number of workshops for Kirklees Business Live, Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and Connect Yorkshire while supporting a number of local charities including the Women’s Centre and  Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice. Katrina also ran her first half marathon, raising money for Tommy’s the Baby Charity and for Christmas, we’ve gifted a number of clients and associates with charity vouchers to support both local and national charities. Already we’re discovering organisations we’ve never even heard of, so thank you to those who have been sharing their stories with us.

As we go into the new year, we’ll be saying goodbye to Account Executive, Heidi who leaves us to head back to undertake an in-house marketing role. We’ll miss her keeping us watered with almost hourly brews (and helping us to deliver on our commitments), and her exceptional client work, but we wish her all the best for the future!

We will also be relocating back to our original home at the Heritage in Lindley, welcoming two new clients to the fold (more to be revealed in the new year), a new face will join the team (if you have experience in a PR background, check out our job spec, we want to hear from you!) and we’ll be supporting a number of up and coming local talent with gaining experience in the industry which includes a Huddersfield Giants and national rugby professional.
So to sign off, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a PRosperous, PRofitable and PRoductive 2020!
