In 2018/19 UKcaravans4hire.com welcomed 4 million visitors to the website, generated 400,000 enquiries and secured millions of pounds worth of bookings for over 5,000 owners who listed their caravans for hire on the site.
During the ongoing pandemic, we worked with UKcaravans4hire.com to build brand awareness, support search performance and enhance trust and authority within the travel industry.
Having supported the UKcaravans4hire.com in early 2020 with press office activity, we developed a full digital PR strategy based on an in-depth analysis of the travel industry and competitor activity. With the objectives in mind, we proposed a range of activities including ongoing press office support, data led PR campaigns and creation of bespoke onsite content with dedicated keywords in mind.
Through this activity we achieved over 120 pieces of press coverage and 75 links to the UKcaravans4hire.com domain, 67 of which were from Tier A (DA 50+) websites, helping to increase UKC4H’s domain authority by >10 places.
Coverage highlights from across this six month period include Metro, Camping Britain, Caravan Times, Daily Mirror.
Working with UKCaravans4Hire.com was particularly challenging due to the pandemic and ever-changing rules around lockdowns.
With some travel allowed in the UK, we sought to increase awareness of UKCaravans4Hire.com through digital PR campaigns, one example being “The best places to stargaze in the UK”.
This campaign coincided with a December meteor shower and was aimed at increasing bookings post-Christmas.
It achieved 42 pieces of coverage, and an overall reach of 42.3m. As a result, we saw visitors to the site quadruple in the days after Christmas.
We received national and regional coverage across print media on a regular basis and I was invited to comment as an expert in articles, plus had the opportunity to contribute to discussions on radio and TV.
Our brand reached a whole new audience that may never have come across us otherwise.
Along with increasing brand awareness, Wild PR also assisted with our SEO strategy which also included content creation for our blog. Many of these articles, or specific content from the articles, were pushed out across various digital platforms and the backlinks they contained helped to improve our link profile.
