The Brief

In January 2021 we were contracted by AYRE Events to position the business as a leading events provider both on a regional and national level, enhance organic search performance for the brand and strengthen the trust and authority of the AYRE Events brand within the sector. 

To achieve these objectives, the key metrics of the activity were decided as media coverage (including brand mentions and links) from target media. Following an in-depth analysis of the media landscape and competitor backlink profiles, the team developed a full list of target media. From this insight, the activity was aimed specifically at business, HR, national, regional and sector-specific media titles.

The Results

Following an in-depth analysis of AYRE’s industry and product offering, Wild PR developed a full digital PR strategy in order to raise its profile, attract potential customers and support business growth. 

Through a mixture of thought leadership and data-led campaigns, business news outreach, spokesperson profiling and advice-led press releases, the team achieved 257 pieces of coverage achieved across the project, including 196 links built to the site and counting. We’ve also supported improved keyword positioning for the 10 key search terms through a targeted link building and content creation approach. 

As an events company, Christmas is a peak period for AYRE so we worked on a dedicated Christmas themed campaign for the brand in 2021 to support keyword performance and build authority around the topic of Christmas parties. With Christmas party season quickly approaching, we surveyed Brits to find out their biggest Christmas party confessions. 

From snogging a co-worker to sneaking in their own booze, we found out what really goes down at the office Christmas party. Breaking the data down by location and sector, we created further news angles to allow the campaign to target a wider range of media verticals. To encourage links back to the AYRE website, we created a blog post that delved deeper into the data and included case studies covering some of the best Christmas party confessions. The campaign achieved 33 pieces of press coverage, 13 of which were in national publications including The Sun, The Daily Star, New York Post, HR News, Daily Waffle, Metro and Business Leader. Other key results include a 70% increase in users visiting the AYRE website following the launch of the campaign.  

A key campaign for AYRE in 2022 has been a data-led PR campaign that looked at what theme wedding Brits should choose based on their star signs. We saw that there had been a huge 7,200% increase in interest for ‘zodiac weddings’ in the past 12 months and so we created a dedicated campaign to target high priority keywords for the brand and also achieve brand mentions and backlinks from high authority publications. We worked with an astrology expert for the campaign who provided us with a detailed breakdown of which wedding themes would best suit each star sign and we then bolstered this with expert commentary from AYRE with what wedding features would help couples nail their destined theme. The campaign was a huge success and achieved a total of 58 pieces of coverage including a followed link from HELLO! Magazine and across wedding, regional and industry-specific publications.

PR activity and the creation of dedicated onsite content has also led to huge growth in the number of users and sessions on the AYRE website.
