LinkedIn has launched some new company page tools to help users boost their engagement rates, as well as prompting the practice of keeping an up-to-date page.
With the potential for revenue increases by up to four times when used correctly, we’ve got to grips with the new tools and pulled together this blog to guide you through using them.
Boosting engagement through employee advocacy
New notifications will alert listed employees that content has been shared, so it’s a good idea to ensure your employees have listed themselves as such. This can prompt employees to share the news to their own network, amplifying the number of users that it reaches by up to eight times.
It can be hard to create a culture where employee advocacy is used, which is often due to lack of time, but when considering the benefits it can bring to the growth of your company it’s worth putting this into practice.
We’re really passionate about helping our clients to develop employee advocacy for this very reason, and our Founder and MD, Katrina Cliffe, regularly delivers workshops about how it can be successfully developed, including most recently as part of Huddersfield Business Week.
Employee recognition
‘Kudos’ and ‘team moments’ are designed to recognise the people behind the organisation, and there is now a dedicated section for sharing posts that appreciate the hard work of your employees.
With 37% of employees stating that recognition is the most important thing a manager can do to help them to be successful, this might be a powerful tool in showing employees that their hard work and dedication is recognised and appreciated.
If you think an employee, or colleague, has gone above and beyond with a project, take some time to use this tool to show them, and your wider network, that it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Keeping your LinkedIn profile up to date
If you’re new to LinkedIn company pages, you may have already noticed the completion meter which is designed to give you tips and pointers on getting your LinkedIn profile up to scratch, so that it’s used as effectively as possible.
Once you’ve completed the tasks, the meter will move closer towards the finishing line showing the strength of your profile and includes pointers such as adding your logo and including a customer call-to-action button.
As social media platforms continue to evolve, KC Communications takes pride in ensuring that we stay up to date with new developments – we might even go as far as to say that it excites us…
We look after several company pages for our clients and have assisted a number of them with putting these new tools into practice, but it’s worth noting that it’s still being rolled out and may not be accessible straight away. If you would like assistance with getting your LinkedIn company profile up to scratch and/or using it to its potential, get in touch with the team: 01484 637980/hello@kccomms.co.uk.
