Meet the team - Mollie Earnshaw
Name: Mollie Haley-Earnshaw
Job title: Senior Digital PR Executive
LinkedIn: Mollie Haley-Earnshaw

What’s your origin story?

Throughout high school, I was interested in creative and business-related subjects, and in sixth form, I studied Media, Business Studies and Photography. This led me to researching Marketing related degrees at university as I felt these degrees would encompass all the topics I was interested in at the time.
I was lucky enough to complete a month’s work experience during sixth-form after my neighbour at the time secured me a temporary position at their workplace where they were Marketing Director. This cemented my decision to pursue a Marketing degree at university, and I went on to study Advertising and Marketing at The University of Huddersfield. This was a four-year course as I decided to complete a year’s placement at a digital marketing agency. This was an invaluable experience that equipped me with the skills and knowledge I needed to succeed in my last year of university and my future career.

After completing my placement I went on to graduate from university with a first-class degree and then secured a digital PR role at a full-service digital agency in Leeds, working within the SEO department. Here I realised my love for digital PR, and I knew I wanted to progress further within this industry. So, after seeing the position at Wild PR, I knew this would be the perfect next step in my digital PR journey and I couldn’t miss out on the opportunity!

How long have you been at Wild PR?

I joined the Wild PR team on the 2nd of August 2021. As I’m writing this blog post, it’s actually my first day here! I was greeted by the team with a lovely welcome package including a productivity journal, a dictionary, the book Atomic Habits by James Clear, and an array of face and eye masks to relax with after my first day.

What attracted you to this role?

Everything! When I saw the job specification on Linkedin I felt so excited by the role, and after learning more about the company and position from Katrina, I knew it was something I had to go after.

If you could change one thing about Wild PR, what would it be?

More office plants! The office already has loads already, but a few more couldn’t hurt, right?

What important milestones do you have coming up in your life?

I have recently just bought my first house with my partner, and we are in the process of turning our house into a home. I feel really proud of my partner and I for being able to save up and buy a house at a young age, and I’m looking forward to seeing our home come to life!

If you were handed £1.5 million today, what would you do with it?

I daydream about winning the lottery regularly, so this is easy! I’d pay off my mortgage, invest in some property and of course, buy a new car, have a dream holiday (probably to Italy) and update my wardrobe.

What is the strangest talent you have?

I wish I had a strange party trick up my sleeve that no one else can do, but the strangest talent I have (the term talent is used loosely here!) is fishing. My partner is an avid fisherman and after numerous fishing trips to Lincolnshire and even France, I know how to work my way around a fishing rod!

What do you love about your job?

I would imagine most people in a PR role might say this, but I love that no two days are the same. There’s also nothing better than securing coverage for clients… for as long as I stay in digital PR, I know I will do a little excitable shuffle in my seat when I secure a link.

What TV show/movie/song closely represents your life at the moment?

Happy by Pharrell Williams! After securing a fabulous new role at Wild PR and being in my first home for nearly a year, I feel very content and happy.

Do you currently have, or did you have, any nicknames?

Most of my family and friends call me Mol!

What is your go-to drink when at a pub/bar?

Hendricks gin and tonic with a small slice of cucumber or vodka, lime and lemonade. If I’m feeling fancy, then a pornstar martini!

What personal accomplishment are you secretly really proud of?

It’s not something I shout about often, but I’m really proud of winning the best digital marketing dissertation at university.

What is your proudest moment at Wild PR (so far)?

I’m proud of securing my role at Wild PR, and I’m really pleased with how well I’ve settled in so far, the team has made me feel so welcome.

If you could have any company as a client, who would it be?

I have a huge list of clients I’d love to work with, including:

  • Alumier MD
  • Gymshark
  • TALA
  • Oner active
  • & Other Stories
  • Astrid and Miyu
If you could close your eyes and transport yourself anywhere, where would you go?

Paxos, Greece. This small island is part of the Ionian Islands and is super close to Corfu. Even though it is in close proximity to Corfu, it still takes around two hours to get to the island by ferry, but this is part of the fun!
Paxos is one of the best holidays I’ve been on, with charming villages and quaint, untouched beaches, it is one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever been.
