Welcome to our ‘Meet the Team’ feature, where we give you a chance to meet the people behind the business! So now is the time to discover more about our Account Director, Ellis Noble…

Name: Ellis Noble
Job title: Account Director
Ellis Noble
What’s your origin story?
After completing a PR degree at Leeds Beckett University, I have worked at a number of agencies across Leeds including Axxon Media, Brass and Jaywing PR – meaning 7 years of commuting across the M62! My experience is definitely varied, working across a number of traditional and digital accounts, for clients such as Park Resorts, Nottingham Building Society and Anglian Home Improvements.
How long have you been at Wild PR?
Officially a month, although I’ve only technically worked four days in the office! I started my role the week that the self-isolation measures were officially put in place, which meant the whole team has been safely remote working.

We have recently moved into Heritage Exchange, so I’m looking forward to being able to set up my new desk properly in our new office space.

What attracted you to this role?

As a Huddersfield born and bred girl, I’ve always heard great things about the work Katrina and the team has done, especially for local businesses and the town’s economy. Being able to be a part of that, along with starting a role that will really challenge me and allow me to make an impact, means that it was an opportunity I really couldn’t turn down!

If you could change one thing about Wild PR, what would it be?

After working in a company with a very relaxed office dog policy for the last five years, it would be nice to have a little Wild PR mascot come in every so often!

What important milestones do you have coming up in your life?

2020 is the year of my 30th, and although Coronavirus is currently putting all my plans on hold, I am (hopefully) marking the milestone birthday with a trip to San Francisco, LA and Las Vegas.

If you were handed £1.5 million today, what would you do with it?

I try to use my annual leave allowance to fit in as many holidays as possible, so I would definitely use the budget to check off as many destinations on my bucket list as possible. There are currently 82 destinations on my ‘Want to Visit’ app!

What is the strangest talent you have?

I have been told on multiple occasions that I am a great present buyer – I love treating my favourite people so I also make sure everything I organise has a lot of thought put into it, and have made people cry with happiness on occasion – does that count?

What do you love about your job?

This is such a cliched PR response, but there is no better feeling than seeing coverage come through! I have worked in press offices and agencies for over seven years, and I still get the same buzz from seeing my clients being featured as I did when I first started.

What TV show/movie/song closely represents your life at the moment?

As I am currently sat in my home about to enter week six of isolation, I have to say Prison Break!

Do you currently have, or did you have, any nicknames?

I used to be affectionately called Elsa when I was little (in pre-Frozen times) but now I just get called Elle.

What is your go-to drink when at a pub/bar?

My drink choice changes with my mood, but as the weather gets warmer my first choice would be a Tanqueray Sevilla Gin and tonic.

What personal accomplishment are you secretly really proud of?

Last year my friends and I set up a WhatsApp book club as a way to facilitate our joint New Year’s resolution to read more. We are currently on our 14th month (and book) and I’m so proud that we have kept it up. This month’s choice is Girls with Sharp Sticks by Suzanne Young.

What is your proudest moment at Wild PR (so far)?

My proudest moment so far would be kickstarting the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS fundraising project – as someone who has always lived in the area, it is a cause very close to my heart so I have loved being part of it.

If you could have any company as a client, who would it be?

My dream client would be Oliver Bonas, as I am obsessed with interior design and it would give me a valid excuse to be constantly browsing the website.

If you could close your eyes and transport yourself anywhere, where would you go?

My mum’s side of the family is from the west coast of Ireland, so every year we have a family trip over to recharge our batteries – it really is my happy place. With the current pandemic meaning that I’m not able to see my friends and family, I would love to be transported to a cosy Galway pub surrounded by my favourite people.
