This weekend #TeamWild travelled down to London after founder Katrina Cliffe was invited to the Les Mills #ONELIVE global fitness tour at The Alexandra Palace as a VIP blogger. As a business with personal interests in health and fitness, we decided to attend as a group and do some team building in the progress.

At our core, Wild PR is all about maintaining & creating good relationships with clients and suppliers, therefore we aim to build on our own in-house team building skills in order to deliver a service that is above and beyond what is expected.

The Event

As VIP bloggers at the event, we were picked up from our hotel and whisked past the crowds to our own VIP area where we were supplied with Reebok kit from the Les Mills team. We had the opportunity to socialise with other bloggers & members of the press. We were well looked after by the Les Mills team and were provided with a high protein lunch, which certainly didn’t go a miss after the training we had undergone throughout the day!
Our day consisted of 3 sessions all together including: Bodypump, Bodycombat & GRIT. Bodypump is a total body workout using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition! Katrina and Grace then managed to drag themselves to Bodycombat, which is a high-energy martial arts inspired workout. As a team we then managed to complete GRIT, which is a 30-minute high intensity interval-training workout. It’s safe to say that #Team Wild’s fitness has well and truly commenced after a motivating and inspiring weekend.

Blogger Outreach

As Katrina herself has blogged about health and fitness for a number of years, it has led her to the creation of a large database of bloggers, which has enabled Wild PR to offer a blogger outreach programme to clients looking to fulfil this requirement.

Blogger outreach allows us to tap into key influencers that reach targeted communities. As we engage on a blogger level (as opposed to just agency) at blogger events, this allows us to get to the right niche of people talking about your business. In return, this ultimately impacts on consumers’ purchasing behaviour.

The Les Mills #OneLive event was a great learning experience for all of us, especially Grace and Johanna who are at an early stage of their blogger journeys. Interacting with the type of bloggers we work with for our clients enhanced our outlook on the way we hand pick our bloggers. We noted in particular that many bloggers in attendance either didn’t share their activity on social media or only posted very minimal information – not what a brand wants when they have provided them with an opportunity such as this!

Whether this is an event or a selection of free products to trial – brands need to ensure that they get the most out of the bloggers they work with!

Overall, we had a great day, we met some fantastic people and gained insight into other fitness programmes available. However, the highlight was a weekend away for #TeamWild with no distractions usually encountered in the workplace. Surprisingly, it’s amazing how much camaraderie you can have when sweating it out in a Body Combat class!
